Volvo XC60

The Volvo XC60 is an SUV car D produced by the Swedish car company Volvo since 2008. It is a five-seat body with five doors and transverse front engine, built on the EUCD platform of the Ford Group, the same as the Ford Mondeo, Ford S-Max, Land Rover Freelander, Volvo S80 and Volvo V70 today. Some of his rivals are the Audi Q5, BMW X3, Hyundai Santa Fe and the Mercedes-Benz GLK.

The XC60 was introduced as a prototype at the Detroit Motor Show 2007. The production version was shown for the first time in the Geneva Motor Show 2008 and went on sale in the third quarter of 2008. Are five engine options already available in the Volvo V70: a naturally aspirated petrol six-cylinder, 3.2 liter engine and 238 PS of maximum power, a gasoline inline six-cylinder, 3.0 liter, 285 hp, which incorporates turbocharger indirect injection, and a diesel inline five-cylinder and 2.4 liter that develops a maximum power of 163, 185 or 205 hp, all three equipped with variable geometry turbocharger, common rail direct injection and intercooler.

According to Wheels24, the Premier Automotive Group was scheduled to unveil the XC60 to the public in late 2006. Much of the development of engineering and development of this model was made by Volvo in Sweden, only off-road capability tests were carried out by Land Rover in England.
