The Porsche 911 GT3 R Hybrid will be presented at the Geneva Motor Show in March. Intended primarily and solely for circuit racing,the prototype, will be from 2012 when you can see the next generation of the Porsche 911.Porsche will offer a hybrid version in the second generation Cayenne SUV and the new Porsche Panamera sedan but with a different propulsion system that mounts this model.

Assuming mechanical and technical Porsche 911 GT3 RSR, Porsche 911 GT3 R Hybrid gasoline engine mounted on classic boxer provision of four liter engine, which develops a maximum power of 480 horses and mounted on the rear axle Like all Porsche 911.
This hybrid system was carried out by the specialist Williams Hybrid Power, a subsidiary of the Williams F1 team and is closer to the technological concept of system kinetic energy recovery KERS (Kinetic Energy Recovery System).

If the rear axle is mounted thermal combustion engine in the front are two small electric motors that are responsible for moving the wheels of this axle (see picture).
But the novelty lies in the complete absence of battery storage of kinetic energy and the replacement of this element by the two electric motors front axle, are responsible for converting the kinetic energy generated under braking and engine braking on electrical current, transmitting energy to a flywheel capable of storing, in a single twist of up to 40,000 rpm, no less than 120 kilowatts of power or, which is the same, 160 horsepower of an engine combustion .
Power Demand
When the driver demands more power, just press a button on the dashboard so that, for just over seven seconds, the 120 additional kilowatts, are placed at your disposal and can a straight face after leaving a curve, maximum power, with a total of 640 horses.
